The Level 2 Certificate in Housing has been designed to meet the learning needs of a wide range of people including: - Those people not currently working in housing but considering frontline housing positions as a career option.
- Tenants wishing to explore housing issues to enhance their personal involvement and / or understanding of housing issues.
- People who are new to housing.
- Workers in a frontline housing position.
- Workers in a sector closely related to housing who are seeking to improve their general awareness of housing issues.
The Level 2 Certificate in Housing gives you the introductory skills, knowledge and understanding to work effectively within housing. Level 2 is equivalent to a GCSE (grades A-C) or an NVQ Level 2. The Level 2 Certificate can work as an ideal induction programme.  Download pdf file
CIH Level 3 Award in Housing/CIH Level 3 Housing Practice Certificate
Course Overview
The CIH Level 3 Certificate in Housing is a vocationally related qualification for the housing sector, and is suitable for: - People working in housing.
- Tenants wishing to get actively involved in the delivery of housing services.
- Frontline workers who want to develop skills in housing.
- People working in a specialist area of housing.
The qualification aims to:
Develop key skills and knowledge necessary to participate in housing practice. Provide learners with a detailed understanding of a specialist area of housing practice. Prepare learners for study at Level 4. Develop key skills and knowledge necessary to participate in housing practice.
Apprenticeships and Advanced Apprenticeships Programme Overview
The scheme consists of a number of qualifications and elements which make up the Apprenticeship or Advanced Apprenticeship framework including: - A Chartered Institute of Housing Certificate in Housing at either level 2 or 3.
- A National Vocational Certificate at either Level 2 or 3.
- Key/Functional skills competancy.
- Employment Rights and Responsibilities workbook.
The qualifications are:
Available for all over 16 year olds. Government funded for all 16 to 19 year olds. Part funded for 19+ year olds. Designed to take between 12 and 18 months to complete for Level 2 and approximately 24 months to complete for Level 3. The candidate can then progress to other suitable Level 3 or Level 4 qualifications.
Engage to Change (CIH Level 3 Supporting Homeless Persons Certificate) Course Overview
Dutton Fisher & Associates Ltd has formed an exciting partnership with Key House and Leeds Accommodation Forum to deliver this new qualification, which is: - Designed specifically for frontline homelessness workers.
- Accredited by the Chartered Institute of Housing as a Level 3 qualification.
- A qualification produced following extensive consultation with a wide range of homelessness organisations
- Delivered as a series of 4 interactive workshops together with two further sessions for individual and tutorial support.
The qualification aims to:
Develop key skills and knowledge necessary for frontline homelessness workers. Provide learners with a detailed understanding of a specialist area of housing practice. Prepare learners for study at Level 4. Place an emphasis on the personal difference the participants can make to supporting significant change with vulnerable people.
Foundation Degree in Housing Services Management Degree Overview This degree has been designed to ensure that learners acquire specialist skills and knowledge of housing practice alongside Leadership and Management skills and has both CIH and ILM recognition. The degree includes: - Work based learning supported and enhanced with e-learning through the Dutton Fisher Academy
- Delivery of face-to-face learning via workshops delivered on the clients premises.
- Institute of Leadership and Management and CIH recognised qualifications.
- A top-up option leading to full CIH Corporate Membership.
The qualifications are: Offered on a part-time basis over 2 years 4 months. Delivered in association with the University of Bradford. Flexible in delivery, allowing off-site attendance if preferred.
